I think the answer is no, but ...
I like the idea of the apple television; frankly, though, at the moment there aren't that many videos, movies, television shows, etc., stored on computer. That may change. And I like the rental system (how long before someone has bootleg software that will permit people to turn those rentals into DVDs? -- the clock starts now).
We have DVR not through Tivo but through AT&T. I'd like to be able to stream that content onto the Apple television unit as well. It doesn't sound like that is possible. Would that be others' opinions as well? I think until that can happen sales of this gizmo will continue to be less than they could be. But I could be completely wrong about that.
