I was surprised there was not a global Leopard 10.5 peripheral compatibility thread yet.

FWIW, here's what works for me in Leopard:

USB speakers for Cube <-- No additional drivers needed. (Ironically, the Cube itself isn't officially supported.)
Griffin iMic audio adapter <-- No additional drivers needed
Canon i960 Photo Printer <-- No additional drivers needed
D-link DBT-120 Bluetooth adapter <-- No additional drivers needed

M-Audio Midisport 2x2 MIDI interface <-- Need to install drivers from M-Audio. It wouldn't work without the drivers.

Epson Perfection 1640SU Photo scanner <-- I installed the drivers, although I'm not sure if I needed them or not. (I didn't test out the scanner before installing the drivers.)

I also have 5 external hard drives that all worked fine in Leopard. Three of them have both USB 2 and Firewire, and two only have Firewire.

Actually, it did - you just had to make sure to connect it to a Tiger Mac and NOT POWER IT DOWN (i.e., you had to keep it connected to a powered hub).

The problem was that the damn thing insists on downloading its firmware from the computer every time it's powered up, and the driver didn't support that under Leopard. Other than that, it worked fine.

Yes, the 2x2 was the *single* device I failed to check in advance before upgrading the studio to 10.5...and they took EIGHT ****ING WEEKS to supply the drivers.

That's weird. I guess there's no flash memory in the thing then?

Anyways, that wouldn't work for many people I suppose, as many people wouldn't necessarily have an extra Tiger Mac handy. I had no idea that would work either. How did you find that out? Luckily, it's all moot now, since Leopard drivers are (finally) available.

After the initial "GODDAMN ****ING PIECE OF ****!!!" and anger at myself for having overlooked that point had faded, I googled.

And I bought an extra cheapo MIDI interface that works without any drivers at all, just because.

cheap HP DeskJet 3915 - leopard included updated drivers that seem to work a lot better with network sharing of the printer

very very cheap generic usb 1.1 2 port PCI card - Shows up in system profiler, but nothing that is attached to it is recognized by the system, worked perfectly with panther and tiger

Yamaha PSR-K1 MIDI keyboard - works perfectly with Yamaha supplied drivers

generic bluetooth adapter - works fine, although it has been randomly disconnecting from my kb/mouse since i upgraded to leopard

all of this hardware is connected to a dual 500 G4, btw...

My brand new CanoScan LiDE 90 works just brilliantly under Leopard, using the latest drivers from the canon website.
