Is there a fire to usb2 adapter?

I have several G4 PBs 15-17" .... some firewire 400 some 800 I bought 6 of the WD 250GB Passports from BB for $88 ea. They let me use 12% coupon on entire purchase!!

I have a PCMCIA USB2 card in one 17", but would love to be able to use an adapter to get usb2 out of firewire. Is it possible. Also I have to use a Y adapter to get USB2 card to power drive now.

Am I SOL?

USB1 is sooooo slow!

There is no such adapter that would work on a Mac and do what you expect.

You could buy a few SATA<->FW/USB enclosures... $35/ea.

Speaking of great storage buys, did anyone else get in on the 1.5TB (2x750) external eSATA/USB2 drives for $68 from Dell? I've got four on the way, shipping today.
