neither PocketMac SyncManager (a free download from RIM) nor the MissingSync for BlackBerry (shareware) seem to get this done, they offer you to sync a bunch of things but not individual files… this hasn't be that hard, huh?

pocketmac--it's pretty good for syncing up, but not much for tethering like the windows DM.

go to select product and it is the first one.

As long as we're on topic, is there any way to tether (USB or BT) for internet access?

Actually, to copy an item from the Mac to the BB is sort of easy, guess you want to copy a ring tone:

- Open “Media” Application on your Blackberry.
- Select “Ring Tones”.
- Select either “All Ring Tones”, “My Ring Tones” or “Preloaded Ring Tones”.
- Press the Blackberry button directly to the right of the green phone button.
- Select “Receive Using Bluetooth”. You will see a “File Transfer - Waiting for connection” message.
- Go to your Mac and open Bluetooth File Exchange.
- Select “Send File”.
- Select the device you want to transfer your file to (in this case, a Blackberry 8100 Pearl).
- Click “Send”.
- Go to your Blackberry and notice a window asking you to “Please choose the location where you wish to save file”.
- Select “Save” located at the bottom left of the window.

I get a message saying about an error regarding the copy every-time I do it so you could think 'oh, it failed' but actually it didn't, the file is copied no matter what Bluetooth File Exchange claims… at least here.

As for tether, I guess these links could be helpful, I can't provide feedback there, heck, I didn't even know what 'tethering' was

Even easier if you want to just get a MicroSD card and then it'll mount on your desktop.

Yes, they are dirty cheap right now, 1 GB goes for only 5€ on a local store while BlackBerry website asks 35€ haha, and people complaints about Apple RAM prices!!
