Howdy, I'm running a G3 iBook, 500mhz, (2001), Upon which I updated to Tiger last Spring. I'm wondering if there are drivers and a version of toast that will accommodate my QPS 525 16x CD-RRW of the same age. I'd hate to throw the thing out, since it's faster, and could possibly replace my internal drive if it goes Kaput. Many thanks in advance.

I'd imagine that if the older versions of OS X had drivers for that drive, then Tiger should too. Does it not work?

The drivers I had were OS 9, and got nuked during data transfer. I have not been able to locate any OS X drivers. Tiger does not recognize the device at all. If I can find drivers, what version of Toast do you suggest?

Ah, I forgot about OS 9. Sorry about that. Toast does support a bunch more drives that OS X doesn't have built-in support for, but you might want to call Roxio to ask whether they support your particular drive.
