As far as I can see, it is compatible, pls see sig line for my iMac.

Yeah, that won't work. Your iMac needs PC2-5300 DDR2 SO-DIMM (200 pins), not DDR2 DIMMs (240 pins).
You want:  .
Your stuff looks like this though:
Your iMac has two slots and can take a maximum of 2 GB. Get two 1 GB SO-DIMMs.
