So theres a bit of dust in my cinema display's backlight. I know Apple would fix it/ replace it but here's the catch: it's second hand. I bought it off eBay, but it is still under warranty.

Will Apple fix/replace it for me? Should I not mention it's secondhand? Does it matter if it's under warranty?

I don't think it matters. At least it didn't in the case of a MacBook I bought off of craigslist. It got the magic backlight flickering syndrome™ and I took it in and they serviced it no problem.
