Hi,

I just bought myself one of these:
Apple Powerbook G4 Screen LCD 17 inch Aluminum

and replaced it with my old one in my PowerBook 1.5GHz 17". Now, the problem is that the screen doesn't 'light up'. I can see an image is there, but it is extremely faint, corresponding to a display set to the lowest level of brightness. Also, I cannot see any light from the back of the screen (the light you can see normally lighting up the "Apple" logo).

I have tried to put back my old screen again, and that works just fine, so the fault has to be with the new screen. I have contacted PowerbookMedic, but haven't heard anything back yet......

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Kristian

As long as all the connections were made properly it's quite possible you just got a bad screen from them.
