this may be a no-brainer. But here goes: if i subscribe to mlb.com to watch my out-of-town baseball games live on my computer, is there a way to get them--live--onto my 50" tv instead via the connected appleTV? Thanks.

(I found a Kate MacKenzie blog post from 360 Mac from more than a year ago, in which she described functions she'd like to see added to the then first-gen appleTV, including "...Internet Streaming Support so you can browse the menu using your remote and pick up streaming video from BBC news, or Major League Baseball, or the Playboy Channel." Did appleTV2 make any progress on that front?)

Nope, no web browser in AppleTV... you'd kind of expect one to be there, but I guess Apple doesn't want people watching free content from Hulu instead of buying it off iTMS.

Except that there are tons of free video podcasts.

But I would like to see them get with the networks, most of whom already have video on the web, and make them work with AppleTV. My guess is that there are some non-trivial technical issues to deal with before it could happen though.

Apple TV has no input other than the remote so obviously a web browser would have made no sense. A Mac mini and a wireless KB/mouse however are great way to browse the web on your TV.
