Hi all I am in BKK and got this nice white keyboard for 10 bucks:
ZDNet's Samsung Pleomax Crystal PKB-7000X - keyboard Specifications & Features

I wanted to find inexpensive keyboards that would work on macs but that seems impossible here, the shops only carry the lastest apple branded ones at apple +20% prices.

So, while the Windows Key acts like the Apple key by default on this one, many of the other keys dont work or work wonkie and I am wondering if there is a keybooard remapper for the mac/intels that can help me here. I have tried uControl and fKeys but these hacks dont seem to work on my mb or mbp.

Is there anything out there? thx in advance!

Ps. Tech question: while I understand how to use dual screen / close the lid on mac laptops, it seems that with this keyboard, the power is cut when the lid is closed, ie the keyboard is mostly inop while the lid is closed. A mouse connected to the keyboard usb hub, however, works fine. Is this the nature of windows keyboards when connected to a mac? (my true apple keyboards work fine in closed-clamshell mode).
