I just bought a
Samsung SyncMaster 2253BW to use with my MacBook. It has both VGA and DVI inputs. Unfortunately, when I plugh the DVI cable into the mini DVI converter and that into my MacBook, the MacBook screen turns blue for several minutes, then shows the desktop, but is unresponsive. I looked at the directions and saw that it says for Macintosh, us the VGA connector. That seems kind of dumb.
Is my MacBook underpowered to drive the Samsung 22" monitor with DVI? Could there be another reason I have to use VGA?
