So after upgrading the RAM on my MDD with two additional Kingston 512 sticks, I have been getting some random lockups… so I ran Rember to test the RAM and I got plenty of errors, since the log is too long I have uploaded it here with QuickShareIt - which BTW is a nice Mac only app -

quickshareit

Could anyone tell me if I have to trust this report and my new trusty RAM is yet doomed?, any other test I could run?.

Thanks.

If you're getting random lockups after installing the RAM, if those lockups go away after you remove the RAM, and if the RAM fails tests, I'd say that's a pretty open-and-shut case.

You could try Apple's hardware diagnostic disc if you want a second opinion, but I'd probably just go and get the RAM replaced under warranty. I'd try it with each RAM module individually first, though, to see which one is bad - if one of them is okay, there's no point in replacing a RAM module that works.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

Thanks, makes perfect sense. I have swapped the modules just in case there was any issue with the RAM slots. If the lockups keep coming I'll follow your advice.
