2.0.1 is out…

LaCie - External Hard Drives, DVD±RW Drives, Monitors

I have (1) FireWire and (1) USB2 LaCie drives, both susceptible to being updated but it is not like I am going to run the updater just for the sake of to update it. So does anyone know what purpose this Firmware update serves?

Well, for those wondering about this… LaCie tool says the USB2 brick hard drive has no changeable firmware so all the goods it got was an icon.

There have been quite a few reports about hosed disks after this update though. And quite frankly, if LaCie doesn't think they need to tell me advance what this update is for, I won't install. Especially not when I see it has killed other people's disks. Just my 2¢.
