I am a "newbie" in this Forum so please treat me kindly!! I have trawled Apple's help/support site and other forums (including this one) but cannot seem to find an answer to my question, which is: - On a Mac running OSX, can a USB flash drive, which has been correctly ejected/unmounted, be "remounted" without having to physically remove and reinsert the drive?
The drive icon disappears from the desktop/finder of course when ejected but the drive can still be seen in System Profiler. I have tried selecting the drive in SP and then "refreshing" in the View menu but that doesn't work. It doesn't matter what formatting is on the drive either, MS-DOS FAT16 or Mac Journaled HFS+ Any ideas, please?
