I had to get a new mouse this weekend and I settled on MS Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 v2 as being the most comfortable. It works fine but the problem is that it wakes my computer all the time. With all the mice I had prior you had to click on a button to wake the computer up. This one you just have to touch a tiny bit. It works the same way in OS X and Win XP. I'm thinking of returning it but I'm wondering if the whole sleep issue is due to it's wirelessness or laserness so I steer clear of one or both aspects. Any ideas?

It may be.
My brother lives close to tram tracks and very often, the surge in electromagnetic radiation generated from the tram is enough to wake his computer, because it is interpreted as input from the mouse. Also, mice these days are a lot more sensitive, so they register even minute movements. Both can be the cause here.

I'd put the mouse in its cradle (if it has one) and see if your computer still wakes up from sleep. If it does, em interference may be the cause.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
