I had a 80g external hard drive that worked fine on my mac but the cord finally gave out. so I removed the hard drive, in order to install it on my mac as a 2nd drive. But when i turn the mac on it shows a blank screen with the finder folder blinking a question mark in the mid. screen. I've switched the jumper to slave drive. what can i do?!!!

Why would you be running OS X 10.0 on anything? 10.1.x should be run at the very least since it was a free upgrade from 10.0.

Try setting the jumper to cable select. Some mac models seem to prefer that.
