Dealnn.com has a daily special today on the "Cavalry 1TB USB 2.0 3.5" External Hard Drive with One Touch Back-up for PC - CAUO3701T0"

I think it's a fair price and want to purchase one for my 2.0GHz Mac Pro tower. I don't see any problem with this used as a backup device, other than maybe reformatting it.
But the System Requirements state the following: " USB port Windows 98SE / Me / 2000 / XP / Vista CD-ROM drive (to load One Touch Backup software)"

I only have a couple more hours to purchase at the sale price so can someone tell me that it will work even though only Windows stuff is in the system requirements. PS. I don't need the One Touch Backup Software.
Thanks,
Lou

It's USB so it will work but will need to be reformatted. The Windows requirement must refer to the backup software.

The drive inside the Cavalry is supposed to be a Western Digital, so it is a pretty good deal.

It will work on your Mac, but I would reformat it to Mac Journaled format as soon as you get it.
