I say it's only a matter of time before the Multi-touch Glass Trackpad USB hits desktops. Why should notebooks have all the gesture fun? I dislike using mice, but I like my large Kensington ExpertMouse trackballs, but I would prefer a really nice trackpad. What's a Mac Pro user to do? In 1996 I had an ADB Alps Glidepoint, but they didn't really improve unlike the trackballs so I dropped it after a while. Of course, if you can add a display under there, that increases the advantages (and cost). Of course notebook users might like to have a second trackpad too, if they have an external keyboard.
