Okay.. there aren't any such things are "Stupid Questions" but there certainly are "Ignorant Questions". I have an ignorant question about printers. I'm looking to possibly invest in a color Laser Printer. My question is instead of looking for the few ones that offer "Wi-Fi" printability (the number gets small when you start looking for a color with duplexer), Can I use a Networkable Printer (Ethernet) and set it up with a wireless router? I do not have room where my computer is to have a large printer, but I have a place in the room for a large printer. IF this is not possible it looks like my only sub $400 choice is the Brother.

Of course, all you're changing is the network connection for the printer; it doesn't care what the rest of the network looks like.

So all I have to do is use ANY ethernet capable printer.. hook it up to a wireless ethernet router, and then enable wi-fi to the browser.. but will that work?

What are you talking about browsers for?

If you connect a printer with ethernet to a wifi/wired router/switch (e.g. Linksys WRT54G, Apple Airport Express, etc), all other computers on that switch, regardless of how they're connected (wifi, wired, tin cans and string), will be able to use the printer.

Printers with wifi are for locations where you can't/don't want to get the ethernet cabling to them; it has nothing to do with how the computers are connected to the network.
