It's my observation that most aftermarket controllers for the original Xbox are lousy. The Microsoft branded ones (especially the "S" controller") are halfway decent, but hard to come by. Is it possible to either build your own controller or modify/retrofit an existing one with better parts so that it feels more solid, breaks less frequently, and performs better?
