Can one turn off an AppleTV over a LAN using a magic packet, WakeOnLAN, or something like that? I know you can't do it over wireless, generally speaking, but ...

Other than SSH?

No, that would do fine. I could just SSH in and do shutdown or something like that, right?

But starting it up again via remote would be more difficult, I would think, esp. if AppleTV does not accept magic packets. In any case, I'm using wireless right now, so even that (or WakeOnLAN, which relies on magic packets) wouldn't do the trick for me.

There's no reason for SSH not to work over a wireless connection.

It's a bit complicated. Someone more authoritative than me can field this one, perhaps?
