I've been searching around for a good replacement hard drive for my Powerbook G4 12inch 1.5ghz 80GB. I came across the FUJITSU Mobile MHV2120AH, but I can't seem to find any reviews on it anywhere. Has anyone here had any experience with it, or does anyone know of a better hard drive? I saw a Fujitsu one on newegg, but there are mixed reviews. My Powerbook came with a Fujitsu so I'm thinking thats the best choice.

There's no reason to use the same drive brand. Any of these will work, I'd go with 250GB or 160GB; you don't save much by going smaller.

Thanks.

I think I'll stay away from Western Digital. Almost every review I've seen is like "Failed right after the warranty expired". I haven't ever had any problems with my Fujitsu drive, so I was thinking about continued quality. That seagate one you suggested looks good, especially with the 5 year warranty. I thought Hitachi Travelstar was good, but from reviews calling it the Deathstar, that doesn't help too much.

I replaced the HD in my Powerbook 1 GHz with a Seagate. No issues aside from the annoying head-parking sound. I solved that with a quick hardware patch. The 5-year warranty is a real selling point - but the hardware patch probably voids the warranty.

When I bought my HD about a year ago the selection of ATA drives was far better.
