Verbatim used to be the top choice for quality concerned people.
Now they switched their production of dual layer dvd media from Singapore to India.
As far as I heard the quality has dropped.
My last 20-spindle had 25% failure rate, but I heard from others they had failure rates of 50% and more.
I also heard there are still some Singapore produced DVD R DL discs produced, and that it depends on where you buy. But I doubt that. I bought my last spindle (the one with the 25% failure rate) from Newegg, which is a very good store.
What do you use? Can you recommend a good brand? Or is it now that all dual layer discs are cheaply made and you need to buy a cheap brand like Memorex (which I never bought so far because it's cheap) to make up for failed burns?
