Been thinking about getting a Wacom tablet. I like the idea of the Graphire Wireless Tablet, but don't know much about them. Anyone have any advice or opinion on which of these tablets is the best bang for the buck?

What do you intend to do with it? Draw? Photo retouching? Will you be using it with a desktop system or laptop? Personally, I've been using an Intuos 2 (6x8) for several years and have been quite happy (except for the wireless mouse, which seems to severely wound Finder whenever I use it...so I don't use it)

Has lots of bang, but also costs lots of buck (300$ plus).

There are different sizes, this is the medium size.

The smallest size is very affordable.

The Graphire has been replaced by the "Bamboo Fun" (The person who invented this name is still in jail for this).

You can use a Bamboo professionally. I myself have a graphire, because I got it for free with one of my Macs. What you lose in comparison with the pro models is sensitivity of pressure, and especially precision of moves.
