Doh.

I pulled the guts out of my Mac Pro for its semi-annual internal cleaning. While pulling out the front fan assembly, the little "BT" wire attached to the bluetooth module broke clean, right at the little gold connector. I pulled the gold connector off of the BT module and kept it...but doubt it can be re-used.

How should I go about fixing this? Can I purchase a teeny gold connector to attach the wire to? Or must I purchase a ready-made cable with wires attached? Where might I find something like that?

Thanks!

Not an option for me.

I'm technically proficient and can repair this; I've just not had experience with such connectors.

But thanks anyway.

If you purchase a new bluetooth antenna be prepared for a real PITA install. The stupid thing runs under the logic board, so you basically have to take apart your whole machine to replace it.

Yeah, I did my best to trace that wire and saw where it went. Ugh.

What I would like to do, however, is simply replace the connector that pulled off. Trying to find out where to buy one. After looking at the end of the wire through a magnifying glass, it looks just like a TV coax cable...and the good news is that the outer strand and core wire are intact and undamaged. That, hopefully, should ease a repair if I can locate a connector.
