I'm backing up my new iMac files to a hard disk I used to back up files on from my old G5 iMac. I had to erase al the old data and start afresh. Previously, when I switched on the HD, it would show up immediately on the G5 Desktop and backup would begin. Now the HD is connected to my new iMac nothing happens when I switch on the HD. But when I remove the Firewire cable from the HD and reinsert it, it makes the connection and appears on my DT, then TM goes into action. Any ideas how I can get the HD to work without having to reinsert Firewire each time?
