HI all not sure if any one can help me. I am looking for a raid to run off a mac. I am trying to do a home solution as such.

As with windows and linux you can build custom RAIDs and not use proprietary hardware. Any one know if I can use a generic raid with an apple support raid card? Ideally Raid Utility would be able to see an manage it as well.

Any ideas.

If you just want software RAID, OS X supports that out of the box without any hardware.
