i am having a weird issue when i try to connect my macpro to my sony BRAVIA. i have it plugged in as the only monitor through my DVI port (through a DVI - HDMI monster cable). when i go to my system preferecnes - monitor, i have it selected oin 1920 x 1080 the highest resolution i can, and the best recomended option for my TV. (its 1080p)

ok my issue is roughly an inch of so is caught off on all sides. like i have to guesstimate where the top apple bar is. and i can only see the top smidgen of my dock on the bottom, aswell as the sides are slightly in. i have changed to all the resoulations and nothing seems to fit perfect.

any ideas.?

You have some type of overscanning enabled, most likely on the TV. I'd search through the screen resolution and zooming options of the TV to turn off the overscan.
