I've got a 512MB PC100 SO-DIMM ganked from a 12" iBook G3. It's unfortunately met its maker and no longer works, so I'd like to RMA it. However, I have a sneaking suspicion it's Apple OEM, which leads me to assume it's under the Apple warranty rather than the lifetime warranty non-OEM RAM always has.
The only sticker on it simply says "APBL512MI SOD PC100 512MB". I Googled the "APBL512" part, and all I found was a single post on a French Apple forum.
So. Anyone know if this is OEM? Am I SOL on an RMA? Could I possibly fit more cutesy acronyms into this post?

I'd presume AP is short for APPLE.

An Apple part will always have a part number like this: 661-XXXX.
It's probably third-party, but you'll never be able to find out who sold it, if it's not printed on it.

I respectfully disagree -- the part number probably stands for Apple Power Book somethingorother, since iBooks and PowerBooks shared lots of RAM.

I'd assume the Associated Press made the memory Can't really jump to conclusions about the presence of two letters...
