So LCC 3 is out. I like SteerMouse a lot and I'm not willing to install LCC 3 without knowing how it looks and how it works… but I wasn't able to find a single screenshot / reference.

Has anyone tried it?.

Still relies on putting stuff in InputManagers - I won't touch it.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

I am using LCC 3.0 with my V470 bluetooth mouse. Just downloaded it this afternoon. Can't see much difference from LCC 2.7 which I was using previously. Looks like the biggest thing is the ability to use multiple devices from the same control panel which doesn't affect me since I only have the V470.

Does it? I thought they stopped that nonsense after the "ape" debacle...

edit: I guess you're correct..

Fwiw, I tried LCC 3.0 on my new-install 10.5.8 and the Logitech mouse went bonkers. Even after uninstalling, the Logitech mouse wouldn't work properly, so I don't think LCC 3.0 is all that.

I'll give it a shot on my G4 with my G5 keyboard and MX1100 mouse.

One thing I have noticed - on the MX1100, LCC lets me set the sensitivity levels for the mouse. SetPoint (Logitech's Windows software) doesn't.
For all the trash I talk, I sure own a lot of Macs...

I'm using LLC 3.0 with 10.5.8 with no problems at all. Previously used LLC 3.0 with 10.5.8 and no problems there either.

LCC doesn't show the MX Revolution battery charge… it just reads unknown. I have tried connecting the receiver the ADC 30" and the rear port of the Mac Pro, which doesn't make any difference.

OS X is still with 10.5… Snow Leopard shipments here in Europe kinda sucks. Six days to go.
