so awesome. by far better than the default AppleTV interface (IMO). and, dead simple to install if you use the atvusb-creator.

is there anyway to screw up the install? how much space does it take up? I only have 5gb free on my atv and does it slow it down at all?

There doesn't seem to be anyway to screw it up. Worst case scenario seems to be having to restore your aTV to factory settings.

As for space, it'll install from a 512mb memory key, so I can't imagine it'll take up 5gb.

By "slow it down", do you mean slowing down Apple's OS? If so, then no. Boxee isn't running when you're using the aTV OS, so it has no effect on it (least not any that I've ever noticed). Boxee itself lags every now and then, but it's beta so I'm not bothered by it.

I got it. Works. But I don't use it often.

Only now and then to watch some AVIs or DivX.
Quality is so so. Some weird drop outs and issues every now and then.

I actually converted a lot of AVIs into AACs and then synced them to ATV via iTunes. Looks better, less problems.

So for me, Boxee is only a backup solution.
