My wireless mighty mouse works fine with the original iMac when I first installed it.

With my new iMac, I cannot get the MM to work, it just keeps coming up with the original name, I cannot seem to reset it to work with the new iMac, I disconnected it, redid bluetooth preferences, tried to setup up bluetooth device, all not recognized.

I held down (reset ?) button within MM, all to no avail.

How do I get my working MM to recognize or be recognized by my new iMac ?

Still works fine with my older iMac all using 10.5.8

TIA

iMac Intel Core i5, 2.5GHz, 4GB RAM, 500GB 21.5" Monitor 10.7.4.
iMac 17" 2.0ghz Intel Core 2 Duo w 3gb memory (White one) 10.6.8.

Is the old iMac on and in range of the MM?

Could be that it's paired with the old iMac and this is interfering with pairing it with the new iMac.

Nice thought but the iMacs are in different houses, and not on together.

I want to be able to remove any software connection of the old iMac from the MM

Basically I just want to reset the MM back to factory supplied condition to enable it to connect up in virgin mode to another imac.

Try removing the batteries from the MM for a few minutes.
