Will Apple TV steam directly from the HP MediaSmart EX495. Note the Apple TV will not stream from Apples' own Time Capsule.

ATV is designed to work with iTunes. It will stream just fine from Time Capsule if your iTunes library is stored on a non-Time Capsule partition.

If you're not using iTunes, all bets are off as it's an unsupported configuration.
