Had a good google on this but no hints so...
I have a customer with a 733MHz G4 Tower attached to an old Cinema Display HD via ADC. Using a G5 the monitor will run at full resolution (1920x1200) but the G4 only shows limited resolutions in the monitors control panel. Mac Tracker says the display will run under 9.2.2 and lists some cards that are needed, which this machine has better than.
Any ideas how to access more resolutions

It is entirely possible that whatever video card on the G4 is not powerful enough to drive that large of an LCD monitor. You could try using SwitchResX, but I think it's a limitation of your hardware.
What kind of video card does the G4 have?

Yes it was indeed the graphics card. The specs for the monitor list three cards as minimum requirements and the ATi card in the Mac isn't up to the job.
Thanks

You have two options: Get a "Mac edition" video card, or get a PC video card that's been flashed with a Mac ROM. I don't know how reliable the latter option is.

update:It was the ATi extensions. Copied over newer extensions form the classic system on the G5 and bingo, full res on the monitor.
