I'm looking around for a TV tuner, and now that analogue TV is getting turned off here, it will have to be a digital one that receives Freeview. Unless there's anything else I don't know about, its going to be an Elgato stick, I just need to work out which one.
From looking on the Elgato site, there's a choice of three,
DTT,
Diversity, and
DTT Deluxe. I was in an Apple reseller store today, not intending to buy, just asking, and to be fair to the sales guy, they didn't have the latest tuners in stock, and with the 'digital switchover' he wasn't happy that what they had would work to a decent standard compared to newer ones on Elgato's website. It won't be connected to the roof aerial, so I'll have to get a decent indoor digital aerial to go with it. I'm looking more at the Diversity, because it can connect to 2 aerials to get a stronger signal on one channel or record one and watch another, but I'm open to recommendations on this. Its going to be plugged into an early 2007 white Macbook 2.16GHz, 2GB RAM and GMA 950 graphics.
