Hello,

Looking for a PCI USB+Ethernet Combo Card for my Beige G3 Desktop. I found a card made by Koutech on Newegg, but would like any suggestions of other cards that will work with my machine before I drop $50 after shipping. It needs to be a combo card since I need the other PCI slots for additional cards.

Koutech Card: Newegg.com - Koutech USB 2.0 + Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000 Combo PCI Card Model PC520 - Add-On Cards

Thanks!

That was the only card I found with a quick search too.

Fairly sure that's the only card available... It should work just fine however in your G3.

Assuming you order that card, let us know how it works. So the next person doesn't have to buy it blind.

Also, I've moved the thread to Consumer Hardware, since it seems to fit better there as a peripheral question.

Out of curiosity, why a combo Ethernet USB card? Didn't the Beige G3's have Ethernet built-in?

Because what it has is only 10BASE-T, which is just too slow.
