I need some advice ....

What would be a good/high quality internal HD for my iBook? I'd like to spend around $100-150, and want to have something that is higher quality, very reliable, and fast! Don't need a huge HD, maybe 120 GB max. I'm more concerned with the quality than the size.

My computer is an iBook G4 (purchased June 2004), running OS X 10.4.11. I'm also adding a one GB stick of RAM.

Thanks!
*MacPro 2.93GHz-Snow Leopard 10.6.4-8GB RAM*

It's actually more productive if you go to an online computer store website and read up on the user reviews for the hard drives that fit your iBook. Each manufacturer has their good and bad models so it's better to read up on the reviews. Just limit your search criteria to what you have listed and you'll probably only get a handful of hard drives to choose from so it shouldn't take too long to research. I don't think many people on this forum buy hard drives as small as 120 GB so you probably won't get much recommendations from us.

You can get any parallel ATA (PATA) 2.5" drive. You cannot use a more modern serial ATA (SATA) drive. The other thing to be aware of is the drive height. Drives are usually 9.5 mm or 12.5 mm high. I don't recall what the spec was for your machine, but to be safe, get a 9.5 mm drive. PATA drives really only go up to about 120 GB these days so that's all you'll find. Try Newegg.
