Long time lurker here..

I bought a Late 07 MacBook in April 2008, with a westinghouse 22 inch LCD to use it in a desktop configuration. The westinghouse has been acting up, artifacts and stuff. Well today it really went wonky.. Everytime I clicked the mouse or held the button down the artifacts stayed and they were really bad. I also noticed when I was plugging in the DVI Cable to the LCD that there was a noticeable spark. Very weird. I tested the 22 inch LCD on a windows box and the artifacts were there but no where near as bad. I hooked up my spare 15 inch Dell LCD I had laying around and it works perfect. Still has a spark when connecting the the dvi cable, it doesnt spark on the pins just the outside metal part of the connector.

Any Ideas guys, or should I just go down to staples and pick up a 24 inch Acer LCD to replace it since they are on sale this week. Typing this on a 15 inch LCD at 1024x768 is painful.

Thanks in advance

Westinghouse makes LCDs? I thought they just made kitchen appliances.

Sounds like a dying monitor. Get a new one.

Thats what I did, went and picked up an Acer 24 inch H243H HD 1080p monitor today for 212 bucks out the door at staples.. Going from a 22 inch Wide to this 24 incher with 1920x1080 res is a bit intimidating.. And a bit big.. Just got to get used to it I guess.
