I am running a 7 year old iMac with Mac OS 10.3.9... I just ordered & received a Logitech V100 Optical Mouse for Notebooks - 3 button(s) - wired - USB & it arrived today. Before I opened it I noticed it said for Mac OS 10.4+ on the package. It did NOT say that online when I ordered it.

Oddly enough, re-browsing the web, I see it listed as "Apple MacOS X 10.2.8 or later" in a review.

Can I use it? Or do I send it back and get something else?

Any three-button mouse with scroll wheel will work from 10.0 on (that's at least when I used a scroll wheel mouse first on my long-gone iBook). If there are more than three buttons and a scroll wheel which you'd like to use, you need a driver. Since you write your mouse has only three, there shouldn't be any problem.
