I've had my 30" cinema display now for about 4 years. For the past month it's been behaving this way.

I took my MacPro into the Apple store and everything was fine. I then took my 30" display into the Apple store and it checked out okay. Yet when I get everything home I get this. I removed all peripheral objects from my desktop and it still happens.

I hooked up my 30" display to my MacBook pro, and it exhibits the same behavior.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried a different cable? Perhaps your dual link DVI cable (do they still use those?) is faulty?

I've edited your thread title to something more descriptive.

Thanks for fixing the thread title.

If indeed the cable is at fault. I guess they would have to replace it, and the cable is hard-wired into the display. I am wondering if it's even worth it?

Did you see it work in the Apple Store OK?
What happens if you turn the resolution down?
