For xmas, my girl wants to turn all of her parents old camcorder tapes into a few DVDs. I believe the tapes are svhs format. Unfortunately, to have them done is prohibitively expensive. Does anyone know a good adapter/input device to get the video, which is outputted in RCA from the camcorder, to my powermac? Keep in mind that this camcorder is before the days where you could use firewire to output to the computer.

You need what's referred to as an analog to dv bridge/converter. It's been a while since I've looked at them.

One from Elgato to get you started on your search.
