Ok, so I have an iMac with a Magic Mouse and all the latest software installed.

I just got the apple rechargeable batteries. They have been in my MM for about two weeks. After the end of the first week, my battery life on the MM was down to 75% according to the iMac.

Today when I come into work, my same batteries are estimated to have a battery level of 100%.

How can that be? What crazyness !!! (I suppose this could have something to do with my installation of the new Mac OS update yesterday, but not sure how....)

I don't have one, but is there a setting in Mouse preferences or Energy Saver to sleep the mouse after a period of time that maybe you have turned off?

Neither one. The mouse is supposed to automatically sleep when the computer sleeps-and it usually does.

I too wonder how the mouse can go from 75% to 100% battery level without recharging...

I suspect it's the result of his applying the 10.6.7 update somehow. Perhaps some change/improvement in how the system calculates battery status? Or the update resets the calculation for some reason?

It would be nice to find out that the system has been incorrectly calculating battery longevity all this time...I get the Low Battery warning about every 2-3 weeks on my iMac, which seems pretty poor to me.
