I finally switched to rechargeable batteries for my battery-hungry Magic Mouse. However, ever since switching, the mouse seems to "stutter" a lot. Like, when using the scroll move on the mouse, there will be a momentary pause before the cursor moves. Similarly, clicks will sometimes not respond immediately. The overall effect is that everything is just a nanosecond behind my actions.

Has anyone had similar issues with a Magic Mouse? And, is it just coincidence that this started after installing rechargeables? I can't imagine the batteries would make a difference.

Co-incidentally, have you or a neighbour started using wireless CCTV ?

My magic mouse used to interfere with my wireless CCTV on one channel.

I had to stop using it.

No, no CCTV.
The only thing in the house transmitting on 2.4Ghz is the Airport Extreme Base Station. That's been running for several weeks, though. This stuttering started just this week. You think that could cause interference with the MM?

Can you change the channel the Airport works on.

I don't have one so cannot advise on this, but I do seem to remember a choice of channels.

Stupid question: Have you tried going back to alkalines to see if the rechargeables are the problem?
