Reality: nobody is buying 7" color tablets. Here we are another year and the "time will tell" isn't going to cut it anymore.

The market has already spoken. There is no argument.

Nobody is stopping anyone from making 7" tablets but the market is niche and tiny and App revenues abysmal.

Here's the data:
One 7"
One 8.9"
Two 10"
= 2 of 4 tablets under 10" (2 of 3 if you consider the 10" 4G to be an upgrade of the 10" WiFi)
Mobile Phones-Tablets | SAMSUNG

I'm not talking sales *numbers* since none of us has those (not even you, since Samsung doesn't release those numbers), and it's just a red herring every time you try to ask for them (while not offering any data to support your own claims). We both agree that Samsung is successful in the tablet market, and they continue to offer half of their tablets in a less-than-10" form factor (2/3 if you consider the 4G 10" to simply be an upgrade of the 10" WiFi model). For a successful tablet manufacturer, why would they continue offering less-than-10" tablets if there wasn't any money in it for them?

Show sales. Show real data. Show percentage of marketshare. Show profits/money made off of these tweeners, which includes money made from the manufacturer side and the developer side.

You know that data isn't available. Even if someone were to find that information, you'd dismiss it by saying "the source is lying" or "you don't believe yourself".

Why don't *you* show some "real data" to back up your claims that <10" tablets *aren't* selling?

Who limited the midsize discussion to color only? There are sales of useful products in both b/w and color.

I did. eInk aren't real tablets. They only do reading. There's no other functionality really. Not true tablets.
