I have an HP Deskjet D1520 and was having some small problems printing so I thought I would realign the printer cartridges. I had just bought some new cartridges several months ago and was able to go through the alignment process. When now I go to the preferences and hit align it goes to print and stalls part way through the printing. The power light starts flashing wildly and I can't shut it off. I pull the stuck paper out by hand. I have to unplug the USB connection and plug back in to reset it. After I reset I can go back to printing basically ok but I can't align the cartridges. Is this a new bug in the driver after an update? I think when these cartridges run out of ink I will have to throw the printer in the dumpster if there is no way to set new cartridges. Anyone have an idea what this is about?. I am running OS 10.6.8.
Thanks
