Hi, I'm a new user of a Handspring Palm and want to know will there be any damage cause to my Palm if I switch it on and off to often?
Or will it shorten to life spend of it?

A Palm device never really goes OFF, it only sleeps -- mostly to turn off the screen to save power. Your only limitation turning the Handspring ON and OFF is the strength of the power button. (My Palm Vx power button has gotten hard to use because I've used it so much.)

Moof is right. Since a PDA like the Visor has no mechanical parts, there's nothing to grind, no motors to start up, or anything like that. Therefore, there is no wear on any of the parts (except, of course, the spring behind the power button).
