Hi there-
am going to be creating a smaller version of my stuff to take away from the small version of my stuff which lives in my iBook. am wondering if any Mac users here are using a Sony Clié - what you think of the PDA and have you had any trouble with "the Missing Sync" ?
Cheers,
~Ky

I have a new Clie and I LOOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEEE it
It works great with the Missing Sync, and with my PowerBook G4 (it actually works fine with Infared Port, but the USB connector helps (speed wise) )
The only problem is getting MP3s to the unit
now when using an IBM compatible, you turn on TRANSFER MODE in audio player and the clie then becomes a hub for the memory stick and you can drag and drop files ect, like it's a local drive.
I ordered a memory Card Reader off of ebay not to long ago, so when it comes i'm going to try to drag and drop files onto that from the mac, i'll let you know how it works.

P.S you have to get either a 64 meg or a 128 meg Memory Stick, becuase the 8 Meg card is just c-r-a-p

I've had a Clie for about a month and have had no problems syncing with my powerbook using the missing sync driver. Even works in OS X (using classic, of course)

i just bought a n710c and I just got my first mac a few weeks ago(dual ibook) becuase I'm a unix guy so I wanted to try nice GUI with power of UNIX, so I never use mac 9, only X. So this creates a big problem coz there is no hotsynch software for X yet, and I heard you can't use the regular hotsynch software with clies becuase there is too much heavly modified stuff, so u have to use the sony hotsynch version, does anyone have any methods for hotsynching with OS X and a clie(without using classic)?? Hope a solution comes soon, if not, we'll have to write it ourselves.

Hi There

Ive got a 6month old Clie, the PEG-S300/E but unfortunatly can not sync this to my new ibook (OS 9.1). Acording to the Sony web site there are no drivers written for MAC OS. Ive tried syncing anyway but no luck. Any out there got any iideas how I get this working...or is it my fault for once having a Sony Vaio laptop

All the best

Robster

Just received the missing link solftware to go with my G4 cube and clie. Followed the install instructions and continue to receive message:

HOTSYNC PROBLEM
Unable to initiate HotSync operation
because the serial port is in use by
another application.

Please advise!

Thank you.
