Has anyone been able to sync successfully? or do we need to wait for the new The Missing Sync OS X version?

How did you get it to sync? I've tried everything I can think of and the Sony Clie says the port is in use and thus it can't sync. I'm using the USB port on the PowerMac itself so the message doesn't make any sense.
