My IIIxe has my name as the user but my new IIIC defaults to user 'IIIC' and with all the Wordsmith, Handbase, etc. files don't know how to transfer both the data and the applications.

Your suggestions are appreciated.
You could simply beam them via the IR-Port from your x to your IIIc.
for the Name: there´s a program called PalmName. This can change your HotSync ID.
