Any update on this at all? I just had a chance to look at my email account which I use exclusively for the NewtonTalk list (btw, where is the List now and what happened to PlanetNewton?)

Any way, I was hoping someone like Paul (the God of Newton developers, as far as I'm concerned) would know something about the status of this.

I don't know too much on the status of 802.11b for the Newton, but I can tell you, the Newton community has migrated to NewtonTalk2, on the yahoo.groups server. Planet Newton went down some weeks ago; there've been various explainations but the bottom line is everyone's over on NT2.

On the NT2 list, there has been some traffic on a US Navy project that used Newton 2x00s and 802.11b wireless cards for use on submarines. I'm pretty sure someone is looking into where the drivers ended up since the whole project wasn't secret (there is a pdf on the web about it). Who knows what will turn up there? At this point, though, the Airport on a Newton is still in the tentative stage.

Ok, I signed up again on the NewtonTalk list. I really want 802.11 as the Proxim network really isn't good for me.
